The Taxonomies & Controlled Vocabularies SIG holds an annual face-to-face meeting in conjunction with the annual conference of the American Society for Indexing. There are also presentations or workshops on taxonomies and controlled vocabularies at the ASI conferences.

Taxonomy Tuesday - meets on the third Tuesday of every month 12:00 – 2:00 at different federal office sites in Washington, DC, for presentations and discussion on taxonomy issues, especially for federal agency taxonomists.

Earley & Associates run a free Jumpstart Conference Call Series bi-annually and offer monthly taxonomy web/phone presentations for a fee.
